A Starry Night – Songsters to participate in outdoor nativity

Members of The Salvation Army church in Cradley Heath along with real livestock, including a sheep, a calf and a donkey will gather together on Friday 11 December 2009 to participate in an outdoor nativity play as part of our Christmas celebrations.
Cradley Heath Salvation Army Band, Lutley Primary School choir, community groups and the Songsters will participate throughout the evening. The Songsters will sing Behold, He has come and Night of miracles.
The event takes place at The Salvation Army hall, Meredith Street, Cradley Heath, West Midlands, B64 5EP. The evening begins at 7:00pm, admission is free and all our welcome. Hot refreshments will be available but you should wrap up warm! If the weather is inclement, the event will be held indoors.

About Rob Westwood-Payne
Rob Westwood-Payne grew up in The Salvation Army at Norwich Citadel. He left Norwich to study at the University of Warwick and became fully involved in the music centre there culminating in his conducting Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue to a full house in Symphony Hall in Birmingham. He also transferred to The Salvation Army at Coventry City, where he became Songster Leader at the age of 21. He was made Songster Leader at Cradley Heath in April 1998 shortly before marrying Gail in the following October. He is a former leader of the West Midlands Divisional Youth Chorus and is currently Programme Director at the West Midlands Divisional Summer School for The Salvation Army. He is an Associate Solicitor in the Licensing Team of a national practice based in the south west.
